It begins
Do all things lead to Berlin or does it just seem so, now that I am going to be there for five weeks with three partners in crime to create an original art exhibit .. I am so excited about this life opportunity that I could easily implode like a spinal tap drummer if I am not careful ...deep breath...ok I'm alright now..there are still 112 days to go, so I must reserve my brain cells for other more immediate pursuits.
But I can't help but think that the minor hit song by my partner and his band Vogen on Canadian radio in 1990 seems to have a prophetic quality to it right about now (you can even hear this song as the audio clip on my profile - yeah I know - it sounds very eighties-ish ... but isn't that retro now?) The album sold about at least 100 units in Saskatchewan and was a huge hit on Moncton college radio. It was the big time baby. I think we got a royalty cheque for 36 bucks (and thats in canadian dollars too) which was at least two cases of beer at the time. Anyway I digress, a discussion about the evils of the Canadian music industry is not really where we want to go tonight. Not when there is 112 days to go, German to learn, cartoons to draw and dogs to walk.
I am going to attempt to illustrate this blog so stayed tuned for day 111 and counting
